POA Breed Shows
The founders of this youth oriented breed registry set out to develop a quality mount for children. A quiet disposition, quality conformation and color are still the most important traits considered in the POA breeding programs of today.
POA Breed Shows offer a variety of classes for both youth and adults. In addition to halter classes for all ages and sexes of ponies, there are numerous classes offered for youth in both Non-Timed and Timed Events.
The 19 & over program provides an avenue for adults to compete using registered POAs that are of any age. This helps ensure a steady supply of well-trained ponies. Four classes will be provided for this adult program: Western Pleasure, Hunter under Saddle, Trail and Reining. Since the halter and pleasure driving divisions also have classes for adults, a POA show offers something for the whole family.
